All eyes are on Stamford Bridge as Chelsea gets ready to take on Manchester United in a much awaited midweek match tonight as the Premier League action picks up.

With Chelsea looking to get out of the second half of the Premier League table and Manchester United looking to move up in the standings, both teams are keen to achieve a significant victory that may potentially determine the course of their seasons.

Chelsea comes into the game coming off a poor 2-2 tie with Burnley in their last game.

With 40 points from 28 games, the Blues are now in 12th place in the Premier League rankings, continuing their remarkable run under manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Manchester United, though, will not be an easy opponent to defeat. The Red Devils currently hold sixth place on the list with 48 points from 29 games, despite a recent decline in performance.

Man United enters the match following a 1-1 draw with Brentford in their previous outing on Saturday.

The rematch against Chelsea at Old Trafford in December of last year ended in a 2-1 victory for Erik ten Hag’s team.

Regarding the squad, Robert Sanchez, Carney Chukwuemeka, and Trevoh Chalobah will help Chelsea. After missing last Saturday’s match against Burnley, the three players are back.

Malo Gusto, who was substituted in the 87th minute of their previous encounter, should also be able to play against Man United after avoiding injury.

After missing last weekend’s game because of a knock to his knee sustained while playing for the Three Lions of England on international duty, Ben Chilwell is again out sick.

Some players are still out because of injuries, including Christopher Nkunku, Wesley Fofana, Lesley Ugochukwu, Reece James, Levi Colwill, and Romeo Lavia.

After missing the draw at Brentford, Amad Diallo will be rejoining Manchester United. Diallo is serving a one-match suspension.

Victor Lindelof and Lisandro Martinez, for example, are no longer in. After being substituted early against Brentford, Raphael Varane may possibly be questionable. However, manager Erik Ten Hag indicated the Frenchman was taken off as a precaution.

Potential Chelsea starting eleven: Gallagher, Caicedo, Fernandez, Sterling, Palmer, Jackson, Gusto, Disasi, Cucurella, Badiashile, and Petrovic.

Onana, Dalot, Varane, Maguire, Wan-Bissaka, Casemiro, Mainoo, Fernandes, Garnacho, Hojlund, and Rashford are the potential Man United starting lineup.
The game is scheduled to begin at 8:15 p.m.
