The All Progressives Congress, APC, Governorship Screening Committee in Rivers State has officially declared Ogundu Kingsley Chinda as the party’s governorship candidate for the state ahead of the 2027 election.
The declaration was made on Thursday evening at the APC secretariat after the collation of results from wards across the 23 local government areas of Rivers State.
Announcing the outcome of the primary election, Chairman of the Screening Committee, Bitrus Kwamoti, stated that Chinda secured a total of 268,497 votes to emerge victorious in the exercise.
Kwamoti described the primary election as peaceful and successful, while commending party members for their orderly conduct throughout the process.
