Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal has reportedly chartered a private jet to attend the 2026 Ballon d’Or ceremony in London alongside his family and close friends.
According to football expert Victor Navarro, as reported by Barca News, the 19 year old winger will travel separately from Barcelona’s official delegation.
Yamal is expected to be one of the main attractions at Monday’s ceremony, where he will have another opportunity to win football’s most prestigious individual award after finishing as runner up last year.
Navarro reported that the Barcelona star made separate travel arrangements to ensure that the people who have supported him throughout his career could share the occasion with him.
Yamal has emerged as one of football’s prominent young talents, with his performances for Barcelona and Spain strengthening his standing among the contenders for the award.
The upcoming ceremony offers the winger another chance to add to his growing list of achievements.
This is not the first time Yamal has made special arrangements around the Ballon d’Or ceremony. Last year in Paris, he reportedly organised a celebration with family and friends in anticipation of winning the award.
