Two Commissioners in Abia State Governor Alex Otti’s cabinet have resigned from their positions.

They are the Commissioners for Science and Technology, Chima Oriaku, and Agriculture, Professor Monica Ironkwe.

The recent Commissioners have not made a public statement explaining their decision to resign from their positions.

Furthermore, neither the news nor the rumors regarding the departure of the two former top appointees and their reasons for leaving were confirmed by an official press release from the Abia State administration.

In a brief response to questions on Wednesday morning, Ukoha Njoku Ukoha, the governor’s chief press secretary, clarified that the two former commissioners had resigned from their positions in the cabinet and had not been fired, despite what some had been claiming.

The two Commissioners left their positions in the government. Nobody lost their job. “Ignore the circulating rumors,” responded CPS Ukoha Njoku Ukoha.
