Head coach of the Brazil national team, Carlo Ancelotti, has announced his squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Under Ancelotti, Brazil National Football Team will head into the tournament as one of the favourites to challenge for the title.
The competition will mark Ancelotti’s first appearance at the FIFA World Cup as a national team coach, with the experienced Italian tasked with guiding Brazil back to global glory for the first time since winning the tournament in 2002 in Korea and Japan.
With stars such as Vinicius Junior, Raphinha, and Bruno Guimaraes included in the squad, Brazil will be aiming to secure a record extending sixth World Cup title despite ongoing concerns surrounding Neymar’s fitness.

Meanwhile, Joao Pedro has reacted to his omission from Brazil’s World Cup squad.
The Chelsea FC forward, who impressed despite the club’s difficult season, was left out of Ancelotti’s final selection, a decision that reportedly surprised many Brazilian fans.
Reacting to the omission, João Pedro said, “I endeavored to perform at my best consistently. Regrettably, I could not realize my dream of representing my nation in a World Cup, but I remain composed and focused, as I always strive to be.
“Joy and frustration are integral to football. Moving forward, I wish the best of luck to all those participating, and I will be just another supporter cheering for them to bring home the sixth title.”
Ancelotti also expressed sympathy for players who missed out on the final squad.
“I feel sorrow for players who have been excluded, such as João Pedro.
“They will have opportunities in the future,” the Brazil coach stated.
