Éder Militão has welcomed the return of José Mourinho to Real Madrid, describing the Portuguese tactician as a top class manager ahead of the new season.
Real Madrid officially announced Mourinho’s appointment as head coach on Thursday, with the veteran manager signing a three year contract to begin his second spell at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Mourinho previously managed the Spanish giants between 2010 and 2013, winning major domestic honours during his first tenure and leaving a lasting impact on the club’s competitive identity.
Reacting to the development, Militão expressed optimism about working under Mourinho and said he is eager for the upcoming campaign.
“He is a great manager. I’m looking forward to next season.”
The Brazilian defender also reflected on the importance of mental strength and personal stability in professional football, emphasizing the role family and mindset play in performance.
“On a personal level, life has its ups and downs. The important thing is to be mentally well. If your head is in the right place and you’re good with your family, everything flows better.”
Mourinho’s return is expected to generate significant excitement among Madrid supporters as the club prepares for a new era under one of football’s most decorated managers.
