Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Vice Presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, has stated that the party remains fully committed to securing victory in the 2027 general elections.
Kwankwaso made the declaration on Tuesday while briefing the party’s national leader, Seriake Dickson. Details of the meeting were shared in a post on his verified X handle.
According to Kwankwaso, Dickson confirmed the submission of his candidacy and announced that his name has been successfully uploaded to the Independent National Electoral Commission portal as the vice presidential candidate alongside presidential candidate Peter Obi on the party’s platform.
Kwankwaso emphasized that the party remains united and determined as preparations intensify ahead of the 2027 elections.
“We remain steadfast, united, and fully focused on the mission ahead.
“I was delighted to welcome my brother and National Leader of our great party, the NDC, His Excellency Henry Seriake Dickson, to my residence in Abuja.
“I took the opportunity to brief him on the highly productive engagements and consultations I have undertaken across the North West states, which have yielded very encouraging results,” he said.
He added that the consultations across the Northwest have strengthened confidence in the party’s growing support base and reinforced optimism about the road to 2027.
