Opta’s supercomputer has predicted Barcelona to successfully defend their LaLiga title during the 2026/27 season.

The new LaLiga campaign is scheduled to begin on Saturday, August 15, 2026, with Deportivo Alaves hosting Getafe CF in the opening fixture at 7:30 pm local time.

According to the supercomputer’s projections, Barcelona are the favourites to win the Spanish top flight again, with a 45.6 percent probability of lifting the title.

Real Madrid, now under the management of Jose Mourinho, are rated as the second favourites with a 31.0 percent chance of winning the championship.

Atletico Madrid have an 8.6 percent chance of securing the title, while Villarreal and Real Betis have been given 3.3 percent and 2.1 percent chances respectively.

The projections place Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Villarreal and Real Betis in the top five positions at the end of the campaign.

At the other end of the table, the supercomputer predicts Getafe, Alaves and Osasuna to suffer relegation at the end of the season.
