Barely 24 Hours to the Commencement of the Governorship Election in Abia State,Top Leaders of the All Progressive Congress from the Ukwa Ngwa Bloc has Abandoned the Governorship Candidate of the APC Dr Uche Ogah and Declared Support for the Re-election of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.
Findings by PUO REPORTS revealed that the Leaders of the APC held a Meeting on Thursday to among other things review Political Developments in Abia State between 1999 till Date where the Leaders agreed that Governor Okezie Ikpeazu from Ngwa Land should be allowed to Complete his 2Terms of 4years Each.
Those who attended the Meeting Included the 2015 Governorship Candidate of the All Progressive Congress Chief Nyerere Anyim,Prince Paul Ikonne ,Barr Friday Nwosu and Chief Chris Akomas who were all 2019 Governorship Aspirant of the APC .
Prince Paul Ikonne who revealed the Decision of the Leaders during a Radio Programme monitored by Our Correspondent said the Ukwa Ngwa Leaders in APC have Decided to back the Second Term bid of their Brother Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.
This is barely Hours after Chairmen of the Party in the 9 Local Government Area in Abia State backed the Reelection of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of the Peoples Democratic Party.
According to Ikonne “Politics is all about Interest and where you come is very Important before Interest because Party May Collapse but where you come from may not Collapse”
“Like my Father said during his Visit of President Mohammadu Buhari that this is the First time of seeing a Good Relationship between the Federal government and the State Government”
“All the Leaders of the All Progressive Congress from Ukwa Ngwa Land has Resolved to Support the Re-election of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu”
