Former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi has denied having chronic psychiatric disorder, saying that his anti-social behaviour is caused by his political opponents.
Speaking on Rhythm FM in Port Harcourt on Saturday during a phone-in programme, the Minister of Transportation, said that: “contrary to widespread belief, I am not mad ”
The former governor who was answering a question from Mr Bright Amaewhule, President General of Grassroots Development Initiative, GDI, blamed former President Goodluck Jonathan for the belief that he has chronic psychiatric disorder.
The Minister said he was not being treated by his Former Commissioner for Health, Dr Parker.
Calling into the programme, the President-General of GDI informed that the Former Governor who is on treatment for chronic psychiatric disorder has stopped taking his medication.
Mr Amaewhule advised the Minister of Transportation to resume his medication so that he will be a responsible member of the society.
