Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi is currently in
the eye of the storm over allegations of corruption leveled against him by two
Supreme Court judges, his successor and other dignitaries.

According to the judges, Amaechi tried to bribe them in
order to tamper with election tribunal results.
Below is a list of five people who have accused Amaechi of
corruption:
1. Justice Inyang Okoro – Justice Okoro accused Amaechi of
attempting to bribe him over the election petition in Akwa Ibom state in order
to aid All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Umana Umana.
2. Justice Sylvester Ngwuta – Justice Ngwuta has accused
Amaechi of attempting to use him to win governorship election cases involving
Ekiti, Rivers and Ebonyi states.
3. Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike – Wike is Amaechi’s
successor and has frequently accused him of corruption.
4. Paul Cahalan of the UK Daily Mail – According to Cahalan,
Amaechi has been nicknamed “ATM” because of “his ability to produce vast sums
of money at short notice.” He adds: “Separately, Amaechi is accused of
diverting £140million of state funds into Buhari’s presidential campaign, with
reports he paid for media, consultants and private jets.”
5. Former Sokoto State Governor, Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa:
Bafarawa said that Amaechi took corruption into the All Progressives Congress
(APC). “APC government says it is fighting corruption, but it is the mother of
corruption; it has been the mother of corruption since the day it opened its
gates to those five governors from the new PDP,” he said.

Amaechi has denied all the allegations leveled against him.
