NDLEA arrests Brazilian returnee with N1.9billion worth of cocaine in imported shoe soles

Okolo Emenike Kingsley, who hails from Ezeagu, Enugu State, was arrested by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) with 9.150kg of cocaine which were hidden and concealed in the soles of shoes he imported into the country.

His arrest came during the inward screening of passengers on a Turkish airline that landed from Sao Paulo, Brazil at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja last weekend.

According to the Commander of the NDLEA, Hamisu Lawan, in his statement, he noted that the drug is worth about 3.8million pounds, that’s about N1.9 billion.

According to Muhammad Abdallah, the Chief Executive of the NDLEA, he stated that the huge profit in drug trafficking business has made many to people venture into it
