A thorough statistical analysis of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results has been made public by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, or JAMB.
The breakdown provides a comprehensive view of how Nigerian candidates performed in the nationwide exam.
More than 1.5 million of the 1,955,069 applicants who took the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) received a score of less than 200, according to JAMB.
It, however, reported that 4756 candidates scored above 320, 7658 candidates scored between 300 and 319.
The Board stated in the statement that goes with the data that 40,247 minors were allowed to showcase their extraordinary skills.
Only 467 of these applicants (1.16%) received scores that met the UTME’s criteria for exceptional aptitude, according to JAMB, and their results in the next three phases are still awaited.
