Patrick Vieira has backed Arsenal FC to remain a dominant force in the Premier League and retain the title next season.
Arsenal secured the Premier League crown last weekend ahead of Manchester City FC after finishing seven points clear of the defending champions.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Vieira praised the quality, youthfulness and stability within Mikel Arteta’s squad, insisting the Gunners have what it takes to build a long term era of dominance.
“I hope they can do that [retain Premier League title next season] because we couldn’t do that in our time,” Vieira said.
“If you look at the current squad, they are really quite young but do have experience and talent. There’s no reason why they can’t dominate the Premier League for the upcoming years.
“Arsenal’s squad, with the stability they have, can dominate the Premier League in the years to come.”
