Former Ray Parlour has backed a potential move for Eli Junior Kroupi to Arsenal, describing the young striker as a strong addition to Mikel Arteta’s squad.

Parlour believes Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta can further develop Kroupi’s talent if the transfer materializes this summer.

Kroupi has emerged as one of Arsenal’s key transfer targets following an impressive debut season in the Premier League after joining AFC Bournemouth from FC Lorient.

Speaking to The Mirror about the 19 year old forward, Parlour said, “Kroupi’s a very good, talented player, there’s no doubt about that.

“He’s a young player, and you know Mikel Arteta can make players even better when they are young, so that would be a good signing.”

Arsenal is expected to strengthen Arteta’s squad during the summer transfer window after falling short in the UEFA Champions League last season, with the club aiming to build a stronger team capable of competing for major trophies.
