A last minute attempt by Senator Godswill Akpabio to break into the INEC office in Ikot Ekpene with alleged inflated materials from Essien Udim has been swiftly repelled.
Akpabio had made similar efforts at Ukanafun and Abak federal constituencies, meeting brick walls.
However, his last effort at Ikot Ekpene was unsuccessful as he drove in to meet the overbearing presence of Obong Chris Ekpenyong who sat massively at the entrance of the INEC office.
For more than 45minutes, Akpabio remained in his vehicle and failed to step his foot out.
When it was obvious that Dr Ekpenyong was not ready to shift ground, Akpabio and his aides drove out of the premises.
Early results show that he has so far lost to PDP in all the local government areas, except Ikot Ekpene where he appears to be in an early lead.
