The Executive Director (Finance and Administration) of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr Chris Amadi said the Professor Nelson Braimbraifa Led Executives remains committed for Sustainable Development of the Nigeria Delta Region.
Dr Amadi while Addressing Journalists at the Commission Headquaters Aba Road Portharcourt over the activities of the Nigeria Delta Development Commission said the commission will engage other agencies and attract them to come to the region.
”We realized that what we have is not enough to address the need of our people,NDDC alone as an entity cannot fund the developmental needs of the People,so it it imperative to engage other agencies and attract them to come to the region” he Said
Amadi while urging Youths of the Area to remain peaceful said said the commission decided to clear backlogs of Salaries owed contractors to boost their morale .
”Most of these projects has been completed,some at the various stages of completion,yet some contractors who are handling these projects were not paid,so we thought it necessary to clear those backlogs which was we introduced that policy of graduating our outstanding payments from 10Million and Below to 20Miillion and Below,30million until we are able to clear up what is outstanding”
